BREAKFAST WITH SAIFAA
08:30-09:30 | 7 JUNE, 2024
We have had several requests from members to talk about succession planning.
We also had a few organisations approach us for time to do presentations about their value offers to IFAs, which include succession planning structures but also franchise and other options.
We thought it wise to dedicate June's BwS as a panel discussion amongst our members to address the following topics:
- Succession planning
- Practice management systems (we’ll do a survey)
- The impact of the election results on our practices.
We believe this will make it a very important and interesting discussion. It will also help guide the EXCO who to invite for future presentations to our members.
Remember to send in your ideas and to support our corporate partners insofar as their products fit into your portfolio needs.
ELECTION DISCUSSION
Few events have been as important for us as South Africans as the 2024 elections. After 30 years, we probably all agree that change of some kind is needed, yet what it should be varies from full-on socialism/communism to people who can only see SA reaching its optimum potential in a totally free market system.
In the aftermath of this election, we've asked one of our experts, Liana, to come and host a discussion on how this will impact us and our clients!
It is in this respect that SAIFAA has been adding so much value to me personally, as I am able to exchange ideas with my peer group rather than only listening to the product providers and their clever economists.
We saw this highlighted at our first Hybrid meeting on the 10th of May with the fellowship amongst members, far removed from the cold attendance of the product launches we regularly attend.
If ever there was a time for IFA’s to stand together, it is now and I want to encourage each one of you to motivate your friends and colleagues to join our ranks.
These networking events will allow us to keep in touch with each other and hear from a new keynote speaker each month. We have always believed that we are stronger when we stand together, just like the water buffalo. We believe that these events will form a strong foundation for our community going forward.
